Cookie Policy

What the website stores in your browser, and why.

Last updated 13 October 2026

The short version

NarratifAI does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and does not track you across other websites. We only store what the website needs to work.

What we store

Sign-in: Firebase Authentication keeps you signed in using your browser's storage. Without it you would have to sign in on every visit.

Your history: new Browser-mode transcripts stay in account-scoped browser storage by default. If you explicitly select transcript sync, the resulting text is also saved to your account. Cloud-mode results can be cached locally. Clearing browser storage does not delete account copies; remove them from transcript history or delete your account.

Preferences: browser storage remembers dismissed policy notices and account-scoped transcript history. The Chrome extension uses its own browser-profile database for recordings until you delete them. Speech models: Browser mode downloads speech recognition models once and caches them in your browser so later transcriptions are faster and can work offline.

Payments: when you buy credits, Paystack's checkout window may set its own cookies to process the payment securely. These are covered by Paystack's own policies.

Your choices

You can clear this data at any time from your browser settings. Clearing it will sign you out, remove Browser mode history and require the speech models to download again.
